RO: Previz updates
I’ve been working on a few shots today, making changes from the meeting with Dom last week…
The shots that have changed are:
RO_101_010 : Fliers are closer to the camera, plus camera-shake has been added.
RO_101_030 : Re-animated to make the character still be flying at the end. Plus gave it a more dynamic camera.
RO_101_040 : Tighter shot, plus moved some buildings closer behind.
RO_101_050 : As above
RO_101_075 : New shot - same action as RO_101_070, but from a different angle.
I’ve tweaked the cut quite a bit - you can see the new cut here. The only bit I don’t like at the moment is the cut betwee RO_101_075 and RO_101_080.

Much better… Except in the shots 040 and 050 it looks like they are flying really slow (since the buildings are moving to slow in the background).
The camera-shake in 010 looks great and ads the to the dynamic. But the 030 still looks weird better but it seems a bit off. I would put a close up shot of the red guy crashing down in between shots 075 and 080. It would be a shot of him hitting the wall. and then cut to 080.
But I still can’t wait to see it finalised (I mean the real composited stuff…but I guess that’s a long way away
)

I like your idea about between 075 and 080 - I’ll give that one a go today… see how it works out.
As far as 040 and 050 go, I think the speed will really be helped when there are some textures on the buildings.
030 is still a bit strange, I agree. I did that version in a bit of a rush, using the previous animation and just tweaking the end. Tim, who’s doing the previz with me, is a better animator, so I’ll probably pass this one back over to him….
