I’ve just read a fantastic post over at HD for Indies on the benefits of shooting on HD over film. The post comes as a result of a long discussion that the author had on Cinematography.net. However, while the author is very much in favour of HD, he is quite willing to put forward arguments against HD. (In fact, he does admit that 80% of the points raised originally came from other people involved in the original discussion)

There are various bits that bring up post production, and there is also an interesting comment that someone posted talking about attitudes to shooting greenscreen.

Definately worth a read, and I’m certainly going to be keeping an eye on the site itself, as he’s doing a lot of posting from NAB.
