Chrome ball - where from?

I need to get hold of a decent chrome ball for shooting HDRI images - I’m after a proper one, preferably with a handle coming out of the bottom, and half silvered/half grey would be ideal….

Anyone got any idea where I can get hold of one from? Preferably in the UK, but if you know a good US place, I’ll take any suggestions….

    gazing globes

    more gazing globes

    steel ones

some people buy big christmas ornaments, pinballs, ball bearings

you can actually have them made for a few hundred dollars at a local metal/chrome shop

some photography places can order “light probes” for you which are essentially the same thing

    hope that helps…

Fantastic - those links are brilliant!

Apparently the half/half ones are usually made specially - for a ridiculous price….

I’ll see if I can find anyone who does the gazing globes here in the UK - I like the kind of sizes they do….
